This workshop will support those already using CAT4 testing in understanding how assessment data and reports from CAT4 can be used effectively to improve teaching and learning in the classroom.
The sessions will commence with a detailed overview of CAT4, explaining key concepts and terminology.
Delegates will then carry out a structured series of exercises, using sample data, which are designed to help them understand how to analyse the reports to identify the learning support needs of individual students and groups.
Finally, there will be the opportunity for delegates to review data from their own school and get guidance and advice from the course leader.
Delegates will be able to take a copy of the workshop workbook back to school to enable them to repeat this training with school staff.
Those attending the event should bring a copy of a CAT4 Group Report for Teachers as well as a number of Individual Reports for Teachers for one of the year groups they have tested this year.
There will also be an opportunity to consider the impact of attainment and attitudinal data on student progress.
Delegates should be the person in the school who is responsible for ensuring best practise use of data to support teaching and learning.
