UK Sales Director
Dan Sims is UK Sales Director at GL Education, where he leads and manages the frontline areas of the UK business. He is responsible for identifying new growth opportunities, while continuing the development of our UK teams to ensure that every customer receives the very best in customer experience.
Dan has been at GL Education for the last seven years and has spearheaded our strategic approach across the UK markets: developing out our Multi Academy Trust and Local Authority model; building partnerships with new and like-minded organisations; and developing our overall customer support function.
He has also been jointly leading the company’s sustainability and volunteering initiatives, which aim to ensure that GL operates in a way that is environmentally and socially responsible. These include reducing our environmental impact by complying with, and in some cases exceeding, the requirements of current legislation and supporting staff who wish to participate in local charities – GL offers colleagues up to five days’ paid time off annually for volunteering work.
Dan studied English at Leeds University before working in the edtech industry for over 10 years in a number of commercial roles. As well as working at GL Education, he is also chair of governors at two primary academies and is an assistant football coach.
