Assessment Excellence Programme

A growing number of schools are partnering with us through our Assessment Excellence Programme to deliver a 'whole-pupil' approach to assessment.

Partner Schools will use our assessments to gain a complete understanding of each individual learner’s needs including attitude, ability and attainment. This allows teachers to make informed teaching and learning decisions and to track progress effectively over time. It also provides evidence of progress to Ofsted and key stakeholders such as parents and governors.

Why become a Partner School?

Our bespoke partnerships ensure that we deliver the greatest possible outcomes for our Partner Schools, other schools and their pupils. Our Partner Schools also receive several benefits, including product discounts and complimentary invitations to our networking events.

Our current Partner Schools

We are pleased to be working in partnership with the following schools:

We invite you to join this network to share experiences and learn from others, and support schools in your area to develop good assessment practice that can contribute to raising education standards. You can work with us to support the delivery of events and workshops, provide case studies and testimonials, and contribute to research and development at GL Assessment depending on the level of support you are able to provide. Read more about our current Partner Schools.

Partnership options

There are four partnership options for the Assessment Excellence Programme that you can choose from - below is an 'About you' guide to assist you in choosing the option most suitable for your school:

Centre of Assessment Excellence

  • You will be a major user of our assessments. You could perhaps be a Teaching School or you perhaps guide a number of schools within a cluster or locally/regionally/nationally.
  • You will be making great use of GL Assessment data within your assessment programme in school.
  • You would welcome the opportunity to work with GL Assessment to showcase the work you have been doing on assessment, using our products on a national stage.

Advocate Partner

  • You will be a major user of our assessments.
  • You may not necessarily think of yourself as a national ‘leader’ in assessment but you will feel you can positively share your experience in using our assessments to support your
  • school’s assessment programme and you would welcome developing a closer relationship with GL Assessment.

Trialling Partner

  • You may or may not be a user of GL Assessment tests.
  • You would welcome the opportunity to contribute to research and development opportunities at GL Assessment.
  • You would be willing to support GL Assessment in the recruitment of pupils for trials/standardisation studies by circulating details of these across your network of schools.

Training Venue

  • You have the facilities to host workshop/seminar sessions (max 20 attendees). Requirements will include: a good working space, simple refreshment provision and good parking.
  • You could perhaps be a Teaching School (but not necessarily).
  • You may or may not be a user of GL Assessment tests.
